Happy 4th of July!

I thought I'd share some 4th of July cards I made to give to my family. They're pretty cute if I do say so myself!

Thanks to all our military men, woman and families for all their sacrafice! We couldn't celebrate this day without them!

All three cards use Whisper white, Real Red and Night of Navy papers and inks(with two of them also using Whisper White craft ink & white embossing powder). Card descriptions are from left to right.

CARD ON LEFT:

Flippin for new In Colors

I'm on a roll! I made this quick and cute card for a Splitcoast Sketch Challenge. See here.

This can be used for just about anything-a thank you, get well, thinking of you, birthday, etc.

It came together super fast using the 1 inch and 1 1/4 in circle punches. I popped up the sun with a Stampin Dimensional and added the darling, Crushed Curry polka dot grosgrain ribbon.

I'm playing with the new In Colors. Tomorrow is the day the new catty goes live! I'm gonna put my order in as soon as I can. I'm not getting many stamp sets but will stock up on the new colors and the cute new ribbons. I'm a sucker for embellishments.

New Catalog Sneek Peek

I got my Demo sneek peek order and thought I'd use the new In Colors with the new Circle Circus stamp set. I just love the new polka dot grosgrain ribbon too. The new In Colors aren't my favorite but I'll give them time to grow on me. The new catalog is out July 1st! Some fun stuff.

Goody Goody Gumdrops

Who doesn't love ice cream? And polka dots/

It's been awhile! I've been crazy busy with the girls' volleyball and basketball schedules. Last weekend was the only weekend until Easter that there was no volleyball.

Here's a card I made with the Level 3 set, Goody Goody Gumdrops. I love these colors together. Take the ribbon and the scalloped edge away and this could even be for a boy too.

Accessories: baja breeze 5/8 " striped grosgrain ribbon, scalloped edge punch, 1/2" circle punch

Sweet Always monogram note card set

These are pics of the monogramed note card set I made for my sister's 40th birthday. She's a big fan of pink and really likes orange too, so I think of her when using the Sweet Always dsp.

The holder for the notes is just an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of Regal Rose cardstock scored in half at 5 1/2 inches. Then it's scored at 2 in. from the bottom to form the pocket. I used two different patterns from the Sweet Always papers. The flowers are from Big Flowers and Always. The "notes" uses the Short Order Alpha and a pink pirouette punched out with the Key Tag. To keep it closed I used 5/8 in. chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon.

The note cards are made using an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of regal rose, cut in quarters. I used a 1 in. strip of the brown polka dots paper, adhered that to the Whisper white cardstock. I stamped the Contempo Alphabet "m" in regal rose on whisper white, punched it out with the 1 1/4 in. circle punch, layered that on a 1 3/8 in. chocolate chip circle and then onto a regal rose scalloped circle punch. The matching envelope has the flower from the Always set on the flap.

Stamps: Big Flowers, Always, Contempo Alphabet, Short Order Alphabet

Papers: Sweet Always dsp, Whisper White, Regal rose, Chocolate chip, Pumpkin Pie, Pink Pirouette

Inks: Chocolate chip, regal rose, pumpkin pie

Accessories: Scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 in.circle punch, 1 1/4 in. circle punch, 1 in. circle punch, 1/2 in. circle punch, key tag punch, chocolate chip 5/8 in grosgrain ribbon
