A Creative Blog Hop!

Today I'm part of the Creative Blog Hop. It's a hop featuring Stampin' UP projects. I was so kindly nominated by Hallie Gainer. She found me on one of my favorite stamping websites-

Splitcoaststampers!

This card uses new goodies from the Occasion Catalog-available January 6, 2015. Balloon Bash is the stamp set and that coordinates with the Birthday Bash Specialty DSP. I aslo used the Create with Connie & Mary Sketch#335 here.

Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Balloon Bash
Papers: WW, Calypso Coral,, Bermuda Bay Birthday Bash Specialty DSP
Inks: Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
Accessories:  2 inch Circle punch, Circles Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Stampin dimensionals

In addition to sharing this card, I'm asked to answer the following questions:

1. What are you working on?
Now that I've finished making my 100 Christmas cards, I received my Occasions and Sale-a-Bration preorder and can play with some new goodies. I always like to have birthday, thank you and sympathy cards on hand.

2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?
Sometimes it's hard to define yourself, but in general, I'd say my style is pretty clean, crisp and not very fussy. My favorite color family is the Brights Collection and I tend to gravitate towards cards and items that are simple and quick to create. I'm also a big fan of ribbon, but nothing to fancy!

3. Why do you create what you do?
Stamping is my creative therapy. I love to sneak down to my space and make a quick, handmade card or project that I can share with those I care about. It's kinda my way of getting away from the things that have to get done and just do something I want to get done.

4. How does your creative process work?
I'm a huge fan of challenges. I follow lots of blogs and use Splitcoast Card Sketches and Color Challenges weekly! I love using sketches, color challenges, etc as a starting point for my creations. I'm also not afraid to CASE anything and everything, but will usually add a twist of my own!

And now on to my nomination for next week's Creative Blog Hop.

I really like the style of fellow SU Demo, Amy Koenders. I found her on Splitcoast and she creates pretty and fun projects. You can check her out on her blog, Stamp With Amy K here. Remember, she posts her project on Monday, January 5th.

Check out her blog to see her project and who she nominates for this Creative Blog Hop!
