Just Jawing with Pink Flamingo DSP

It's my sister-in-law's birthday today, so this fun and funky birthday card is created with love for Amy.
We're getting down to the final days of the Last Chance stamp sets and Accessories so again, I'm using all those items that I can!
This one starts with a base of Summer Sun which I ran thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka-dot textured impressions folder. The big circle was cut with the Coluzzle. The patterned Summer Sun piece from the Pink Flamingo DSP was punched with the Scallop circle punch and the other patterned piece was punched with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch. "You Rock" was stamped on Whisper White in Summer Sun and the skull was stamped on Whisper White in Basic Black. The bow was stamped in Real Red and the hearts were colored in with the Real Red Stampin write marker. Finally, a piece of 1/4 inch Tempting Turquoise was pulled through a flower ribbon slide.

PPA#12 Halloween Skull

This Halloween card is for the PPA#12 Challenge here.

This week is a sketch challenge and I thought of Halloween and the skull image from the Just Jawing stamp set. I used the Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry papers from the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. A little Razzleberry ribbon, Happy Halloween from Teeny Tiny Wishes, the Word Window and Modern Label punch and it's done. This card is going to my 4 year old nephew, Brady, who is really into skulls!

PPA4-Anything But a Card

I had to play at PPA today! It's anything but a card and I immediately thought of this mini pizza box. Here's a link to Jen del Muro's instructions-warning, they're addictive! I made this one for a present for my daughter's friend. The box nicely fits a gift card, in this case an itunes card. I used Crushed Curry and a Ruby Red piece from The Write Stuff Specialty Designer Papers. I put the edges of the top of the box thru the Scallop Edge punch before I put the box together. The stamps from Think Happy Thoughts fit exactly in the 1 1/4 in circle punch. A little layering, a brad, some white gel pen dots and you're done. And the polka-dot grosgrain ribbon keeps the box tightly closed and adds just the right finishing touch. Here's my recipe:
