More Last Chance Stamp sets & Accessories

Tomorrow is the last day to order from the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog. I used some retiring DSP, retiring accessories  and the stamp set Think Happy Thoughts on this card. I also made it for the Stamping 411 sketch #157 here.
I started with a card stock base of Sahara Sand  and ran it thru the Big Shot with the Square Lattice textured impressions embossing folder. The paisley paper is from To the Nines Specialty DSP. I stamped "happy birthday" in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and punched that out with the 1 1/4 inch circle punch. I added a piece of Chocolate Chip punched with the 1 3/8 inch circle punch. I then punched a piece of Sahara Sand with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch and poked some holes with the paper-piercing tool. A Sahara Sand piece is punched with the Small star punch and a Circle Designer brad fit the center. Finally, a piece of 1/4 inch Chocolate Chip grosgrain finishes it all off.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Think Happy Thoughts
Papers: Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, To the Nines Specialty DSP
Inks: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Small star punch, Circle designer brads, 1 1/4 inch, 1 3/8 inch and 1 3/4 inch circle punches, paper piercing tool, 1/4 inch Chocolate Chip grosgrain, Square Lattice textured impressions embossing folder

Father's Day Splitcoast Sketch#280

I haven't used my To the Nines Specialty paper lately and I think they're perfect for a Father's Day card. I paired the papers with the Splitcoast sketch #280 here.
I started with a base of Sahara Sand card stock. Then, I just cut the coordinating papers to fit the sketch. I also added some Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip card stock. The sentiment is from All Holidays and I stamped that in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White then stamped it again in Sahara Sand and cut that out and popped it up with Stampin dimensionals.
Here's the recipe:
Stamps: All Holidays
Papers: Whisper White, Always Artichoke,Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand, To the Nines Specialty
Inks: Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand
Accessories: Stampin dimensionals

Vintage Vogue Wedding gift bag and card

Here's another sneak peek from the Occasions Mini and the Sale-a-bration sets. I made this gift bag and card for a bridal shower that I'm attending on Sunday. I took inspiration from the bride's bath towel color on her registry. It's closest to Sage Shadow so I used that with Chocolate Chip and Rich Razzleberry.
The new sets I used are Vintage Vogue (Occasions Mini) and Vintage Labels (Sale-a-bration). The flowers from Vintage Vogue were stamped in the three colors and the sentiment, "Life happens. Love helps" was stamped in Razzleberry. The oval image from Vintage Labels was stamped in Razzleberry and the "Best Wishes" stamped in Chocolate Chip.
The card uses a stamp from Fun and Fast Notes and the Backgrounds 1 texturz plates. I colored the image with blender pens and added a bit of the 1/2 inch Rich Razzleberry polka-dot grosgrain ribbon.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Vintage Labels, Fun and Fast Notes
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry and Sage Shadow
Papers: Whisper white, Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry, Sage Shadow, To the Nines Specialty papers, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Backgrounds 1 texturz plates, 1/2 inch Razzleberry polka-dot grosgrain ribbon, 1/4 inch Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, blender pens, Wide oval punch, Scallop edge punch, Stampin' dimensionals

MOJO #113 Tree

This one is for the MOJO#113 sketch challenge here.
It's also for a Color Combo over at Splitcoast, CC245, Always Real Chocolate here. I used markers to ink up the tree image from Season of Joy. Real Red is on the star, Always Artichoke on the tree and Chocolate Chip on the trunk. There's a strip of Real Red from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty papers and a square of Always Artichoke from To the Nines Specialty Papers.
The snowflake is also from Season of Joy, inked up with the Red and Artichoke markers. A tiny Circle Ice Rhinestone brad is in the center of the snowflake. And the ribbon is from the Mistletoe ribbon in the Holiday Mini.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Season of Joy
Papers: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Cocoa Christmas Specialty, To the Nines Specialty
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke and Real Red Stampin write markers
Accessories: White gel pen, Mistletoe Ribbon originals, Circle Ice Rhinestone brad, 1 1/4 inch and 1 3/8 inch circle punch, scallop circle punch, Stampin dimensionals

Stamping 411 Challenge

I'm just playing catch up after a busy weekend. This card is for the Stamping 411 sketch #120 here.
I thought of buttons for the small elements in the corner so my colors for the card were chosen after I picked my buttons from the Fresh Favorites II. And the colors are Always Artichoke, Rose Red and So Saffron. The stamp set is Trendy Trees and the paper is from the To the Nines Specialty papers. Some hemp twine finishes off the buttons.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Trendy Trees
Papers: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Rose Red, To the Nines Specialty
Inks: Always Artichoke, Rose Red and So Saffron
Accessories: Fresh Favorites II buttons, hemp natural twine, word window punch, modern label punch, 1 inch Rose Red double-stitched grosgrain ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Another 2 in 1 Challenge

I made this card to cover two Challenges. First, the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge #247 here. And the Pals Paper Arts Inspiration Challenge here. Even though I used the Falling Leaves set on my last post, I thought it would be perfect to use with these fall-ish colors. And it just goes to show how versatile a stamp set can be!
My inspiration colors that I chose were Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Always Artichoke and Dusty Durango. And the Designer Series Papers are from Thoroughly Modern (Soft Suede), Razzleberry Lemonade (Crushed Curry) and To the Nines Specialty Papers (Always Artichoke). I used lots of different supplies on this card but it came together really fast because I just trace the dimensions from the sketch right onto my card stock and papers, then cut and layer.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Falling Leaves
Papers: Whisper white, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Always Artichoke, Dusty Durango, Thoroughly Modern dsp, Razzleberry Lemonade dsp, To the Nines Specialty Papers
Inks: Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede
Accessories: 1/2 inch, 1 inch, 1 1/4 inch and 1 3/8 inch circle punches, scallop circle punch, white gel pen, Stampin' dimensionals

Stamping 411 Congratulations

I'm SO excited! One of the cards that I sent into Stampin' UP for the Stampers Showcase made it to their website on Saturday, August 1st!. It's this card here from my post back on June 22nd. It's nice to be able to share my creations! Now to today's card.

I'm playing along with this weeks' Stamping 411 challenge here. I can't say enough how fun and easy these challenges are yet they always result in really cute cards (in my humble opinion of course)! I used another stamp from the Fun & Fast Notes set. I thought it would compliment the masculine look of these papers. And who doesn't need more "manly" cards?

Here's my recipe:

Stamps: Fun and Fast Notes

Papers: Whisper White, Sahara Sand, To the Nines Specialty papers

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand

Accessories: Coluzzle circle cutter, Fresh Favorites II colored buttons(artichoke), Chocolate Chip 1 inch double-stitched grosgrain ribbon

Trendy Trees Thinking of You

I had three, self-imposed objectives with this card. One, to use stamp sets that have been neglected lately. Thus, I used Trendy Trees. Two, to use only current designer papers (and do I have LOTS of retired stuff-I'm a paper hoarder). So I used To the Nines Specialty papers. And three, to make more masculine or non-flowery cards. I think I covered all three!

This stamp set should be used with the Stamp-a-ma-jig too. It lines things up just right.

Here's my recipe:

Stamps: Trendy Trees

Papers: Whisper white, always artichoke, chocolate chip, To the Nines Specialty papers

Inks: Always artichoke, chocolate chip, sahara sand

Accessories: Modern label punch, word window punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Here's the recipe:
Stamps: Party Hearty
Papers: To the Nines Specialty designer papers, Whisper white, Sahara sand, chocolate chip
Inks: Chocolate chip, sage shadow

Accessories: Chocolate chip 1/4 in grosgrain ribbon, small tag and tag punches, spiral punch, Stampin' dimensionals
