Well what could be more summer-y than the bright colors in the Pink Flamingo DSP and flip flops?
This card is my take on PPA#47 here.
I started with a card stock base, of soon to retire, Summer Sun and layered a piece of Real Red. The patterned papers are from the also to retire, Pink Flamingo DSP. I ran a strip of Summer Sun thru the Scallop Edge punch and added some dots with a white gel pen. The flip flops from Holiday Blitz (also to retire) were stamped in Summer Sun, Tempting Turquoise and Real Red then punched out with the 3/4 inch circle punch and layered onto pieces punched from the 1 1/4 inch circle punch. I also popped them up with Stampin dimensionals. "Just for you" from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in Real Red and punched out with the Word Window punch. Finally, a piece of 1/4 inch Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon finishes it off.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Holiday Blitz and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Papers: Whisper White, Real Red, Summer Sun and Tempting Turquoise, Pink Flamingo DSP
Inks: Real Red, Summer Sun and Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: 3/4 inch and 1 1/4 inch circle punches, Word Window punch, Scallop edge punch, Stampin dimensionals, white gel pen, 1/4 inch Tempting Turquoise grosgrain

PPA#42 Color Challenge Birthday Card
Here's my take on the PPA#42 Color Challenge to use Old Olive, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise at PPA here.
I used a sketch from the January Stampin' Success ( a magazine we Stampin' UP! demos get each month).
I started with a Tempting Turquoise card stock base and added a strip of Turquoise DSP from the Pink Flamingo DSP. I stamped the image from Birthday Bliss in Basic Black on Whisper White card stock. I then paper-pieced the cake in the three colors. "Happy birthday" from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in Old Olive on Old Olive card stock and a Silver brad was added to that piece. A few staples and the 3/4 inch Real Red polka-dot grosgrain ribbon finishes it off.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Birthday Bliss and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Papers: Whisper white, Old Olive, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Pink Flamingo DSP
Inks: Basic Black
Accessories: silver brad, staples, 3/4 inch Real Red polka-dot grosgrain
Labels:

Stamping 411 Petal Pizzazz

This cheery card was made for a special lady for Mother's Day and for the Stamping 411 sketch #149 here.

I stamped a flower from Petal Pizzazz in Summer Sun and punched the corners of the Whisper White piece with the Ticket Corner punch. That piece was layered onto Summer Sun then Real Red card stock. A Real Red corduroy button is in the center. A coordinating strip of Pink Flamingo is under that panel with a piece of 3/4 inch Real Red polka-dot grosgrain ribbon. Finally, "just for you" was stamped in Real Red ink and punched out with the Word Window punch.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Petal Pizazz and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Papers: Whisper White, Real Red, Summer Sun and Pink Flamingo DSP
Inks: Real Red and Summer Sun
Accessories: Word window punch, Real Red corduroy button, 3/4 inch Real Red polka dot grosgrain ribbon, ticket corner punch, stampin dimensionals

Happy 1st Birthday Patrick! (and a little Mojo too)

It's my nephew, Patrick's 1st birthday next week and his party is Sunday. So I made this card for him using the MojoMonday sketch #109 here. I wrapped his present in wrapping paper that has these three colors. I think it's a great color combo for boys, especially the cute little one I'm giving this card to on Sunday! I can't wait to see Patrick eat his cake with his hands! Everything on this card is current in the catty except for the #1. That's from the retired Big Deal Numbers set.
Here's my recipe:
Stamps: Party Hearty, On Your Birthday, Big Deal Numbers
Papers: Whisper white, Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Flamingo DSP
Inks: Brilliant Blue, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: 1/2 inch striped real red grosgrain ribbon,1 1/4 inch circle punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch, Star punch, white gel pen, stampin dimensionals
